Water for All Italy has worked together with AMREF Italy since 2007. This trip visited five of the so far ten completed projects; two schools, one water kiosk, one well and one dam. Manuela Stagnati is the Water for All Ambassador in Italy who was accompanied on the field trip by Water for All’s Global Coordinator Josefine Gustafsson.

Atlas Copco's Power Technique business area provides air, power and flow solutions through products such as mobile compressors, pumps, light towers and generators, along with a number of complementary products and services.

As the Business Line Manager for the Portable Air division, you will be responsible for the complete management of its business. The mission is to achieve ambitious, sustainable, and profitable growth, with a strong emphasis on increasing sales, expanding market share, and enhancing overall profitability. This role requires a clear vision for future objectives and a strategic roadmap that encompasses both short and long-term action plans.

The Role:

  • Drive the development of the Portable Air Business, focusing on achieving growth targets while prioritizing market share and profitability.
  • Actively engage in sales activities, demonstrating a deep understanding of the product portfolio, customer base and market dynamics.
  • Foster close collaboration with the Division and the Product Companies to devise and execute business marketing plans, while providing valuable insights on market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Ensure exemplary customer care standards.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, optimizing resources to meet territory management objectives effectively.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the aftermarket and collaborate closely with the aftermarket manager to enhance customer service and facilitate seamless communication between sales and service teams.
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of business results against trends, identifying and addressing deviations from the plan.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of comprehensive business reports and presentations for Company, Business review, and executive meetings.
  • Stay updated on market price dynamics and competitor actions, aligning product pricing strategies with market potential and current trends.
  • Work together with Communication & Marketing manager on developing and setting up the local marketing campaigns and product communication.
  • Play a pivotal role in the Company's Management Team, championing overall performance and upholding Atlas Copco's core values and business practices in daily operations.
  • To actively drive the development and implementation of deliverable sales, marketing and channel strategies, which fully cement the local market for existing and developing new technologies that will deliver a shift to a more sustainable product mix.

To succeed you will need:

  • Proven track record in sales and marketing of capital equipment.
  • Experience in managing a multinational sales team, with experience in both direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Proven record in managing/ developing and growing  business (equipment and / or aftersales)
  • In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of marketing strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset for problem-solving and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Leadership skills to mentor and develop team members.
  • Proficiency with IT systems, coupled with a keen interest in technology.
  • Familiarity with the Portable Air product range and applications is advantageous.
  • The successful candidate will need to be available for travelling in the SEA region on a regular basis and occasionally will need also to attend international business trips.
