Business Area Security Officer - IT security

As the digitalization of industrial assembly processes is continuously evolving, there is a never-ending need for IT security to protect customers’ information, as well as our most valuable assets. In this role, you lead a team of security experts who support the global business area - including R&D, Marketing, Sales and more.

Our systems empower industry users to control their assembly processes and create world class products. The solutions we develop are used to improve efficiency, quality, safety, speed, usability, ergonomics, and environmental performance. IT security in these solutions is crucial.

Your role
Your role is to assist in setting the business area IT security strategy and by coaching and leading your team of IT Security Experts making sure it’s executed. You foster a collaborative environment where people continue to grow, cooperate, and achieve their goals.

You are part of the Atlas Copco Security Council and the IS/IT ITBA (Industrial Technique Business Area) management team.

Some of the team’s responsibilities: 

• Interface on a global level with our business to identify our most valuable assets and protect them
• Ensure overall security and compliance of IT services through good visibility
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures
• Maintain and promote IT Security awareness
• Participate in security audits and assessments
• Maintain and review disaster recovery plans and coordinate disaster recovery tests
• Perform IT Risk analysis related to IT Security
• Be part in developing the overall security strategies and compliance framework within Atlas Copco Group
• Work with our Atlas Copco Group security team on joint projects with the other business areas

Location: Preferably Stockholm, Sweden. Other possible locations are Antwerp, Belgium, and Frankfurt area in Germany. We have a hybrid workplace. Occasional travel is part of the role.

You will need

• A master’s degree within relevant area, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 year experience within the area of information security and within most of the responsibilities described in the role
• Previous experience in leadership and the ability to influence and lead change
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Good to have:

• Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or other security certifications
• Experience in IT Security frameworks (ISO, Cobit, HIPPAA, SOX, etc.)
