Mission & Job description

  • You manage the inventory located in Power Tools Distribution (PTD) for the newly integrated business of Vacuum Technique.
    • Based on your analysis, combined with an understanding of the business needs, you propose and implement tailor made solutions to the divisions.
    • You lead initiatives in further improving the inventory setup, tools and processes – aligned with the needs of our customers.
    • As such you are a key success driver for the customer experience we create for our customers, and as such support the vision to become world class in logistics.
  • You drive improvements projects in the ongoing development and optimization of the vacuum technique supply chain from supplier to the customer center / end customer.

To manage the inventory, you will be trained to become a business key user of the Global Inventory Management (GIM) tool for Vacuum Technique.

You will have a good understanding of the replenishment set up in SAP, which will enable you to propose pragmatic solutions with always considering the impact on the end customer.

Together with colleagues from other departments, you further develop the processes of this new business of Vacuum Technique. As such you are a key enabler in further developing our platform for future growth here in PTD Hoeselt.

By building up a strong network you will be able to share best practices with other BA’s and to convince the divisions on the best set up.  

You will report to the Inventory Manager of PTD.

Experience requirements

  • Knowledge of and insight in ERP systems (SAP)
  • Good MS office skills
  • A firm understanding in supply chain & logistics and process-analysis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems (eg GIM) is considered as a plus
  • You have a good knowledge of FAM and other Atlas Copco internal procedures.

Educational requirements

You have a university degree, preferably (Commercial) Engineer, Applied Economics. Fluent English and Flemish is required.

  • You have strong analytical skills and the capacity to put these to work in an everyday working environment.
  • Capability to reduce complex logistic problems into an action plan and support the implementation
  • You like working in a continuously changing environment, where you can make the difference
  • You combine good social skills with a down-to-earth attitude allowing you to build a strong network within the VT logistics organization and the divisions.
  • You are result driven, you don’t give up easily and can cope with pressure.
  • You are a team player but also an effective self-starter who can perform autonomously and remote.
  • You have a broad technical interest, added to a healthy business understanding and a creative approach.
