Hydrogen Production

Hydrogen production can be realized in different ways. For example, by using technologies such as the Steam Methane Reformer (SMR), Autothermal Reforming (ATR) or electrolysis.

The hydrogen gas is assigned a color attribute based on how it has been produced and the resulting environmental impact. Gray hydrogen is produced from fossil energy sources. Blue hydrogen is also produced from fossil energy sources, but the carbon dioxide is collected and stored. Green hydrogen is produced by electrolysis with renewable energy sources.
