Atlas Copco Vietnam on the journey in Vietnam
Atlas Copco entered Vietnam in 1994 through our distributor Diethelm Engineering Company in the first exhibition of construction and mining held in Ho Chi Minh city. Atlas Copco significantly developed in Vietnam in the later years with some major projects where Atlas Copco supplied construction and mining equipment as well as air compressors.
In order to create a solid business base and strengthen cooperation with local partners, Atlas Copco decided to invest in Vietnam. With a joint venture between Atlas Copco and Diethelm Engineering Company, Atlas Copco – Diethelm (Thailand) Ltd. with 100% foreign capital was founded. Early in the year of 1998, Atlas Copco – Diethelm (Thailand) Ltd. established representative offices in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city. To expand business, grow sustainability and provide faster and better services, Atlas Copco decided to set up a 100% foreign owned company – Atlas Copco Vietnam Ltd. in 2003.
- 1994: Atlas Copco was present in Vietnam
- 1998: Atlas Copco - Diethelm (Thái Lan) Ltd. set up representative offices in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city
- 2001: Atlas Copco - Diethelm (Thái Lan) Ltd. established a representative office in Da Nang
- 2003: Atlas Copco Vietnam was founded with 100% foreign capital from Atlas Copco Group
- 2009: Atlas Copco Vietnam moved the office from Ho Chi Minh city to Song Than 2 Industrial Zone, Di An city, Binh Duong province. The new office covers an area of up to 8,000m2 and includes an office building, a warehouse, a workshop, a canteen and other facilities.
- 2022: “Water for All” community engagement project in Son La province: providing clean and potable water to 625 pulpils, teachers and more than 200 neighboring households in the vicinity of primary and secondary schools
