Atlas Copco Focuses on Innovation at WEFTEC 2022
Atlas Copco Compressors will be returning to New Orleans for the 2022 Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition & Conference (WEFTEC). The 95th annual event will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La., from October 8-12.
Known as ‘The Water Quality Event’, WEFTEC joins the full breadth of the water sector in one place, providing a forum for visitors to explore, learn, network, develop professionally, and strengthen their connections to the water community.
“This promises to be the biggest WEFTEC in many years and we cannot wait to get back to New Orleans,” said Jeff Stallmer, vice-president, Atlas Copco low-pressure solutions. “This really is an event the entire wastewater industry can be proud of and the chance to showcase new innovations to so many customers in a single location is something we look forward to every year.”
The focus this year is on interactive tools to demonstrate the design and build innovation that goes into every Atlas Copco blower. Features showcased include permanent magnet synchronous motors, magnetic bearings with ceramic backup, VSD drives, NEOS technology, and SMARTLINK remote monitoring capabilities.
Atlas Copco will be demonstrating three blower packages to customers who visit booth #4441:
● ZL Lobe – The Dependable Package

● ZS Screw – The Innovation Package
The ZS blower is highly reliable and energy efficient in all your applications and has the lowest possible operating costs. 160–5,300 cfm | 4.4–22 psig.
● ZB Direct-Drive Turbo – Guaranteed Reliability
The ZB blower ensures a reliable and constant flow, with the highest air quality. All components are perfectly synchronized inside a compact package. 750–7,100 cfm | 4.4–20 psig.
