Atlas Copco’s TensorPulse tightening strategy is an innovative low reaction tightening strategy that was previously exclusive to the Tensor SRB cordless nutrunner. Accounting for major improvements in both operator ergonomics and tightening time, TensorPulse is an advanced tightening strategy that delivers consistent pulses during tightening until the target torque is reached, at which time the tool shuts off. New advancements to TensorPulse have expanded its capability to a wider range of Atlas Copco tooling.

Safer operations, happier operators

In conjunction with Atlas Copco’s next generation tightening controller, the Power Focus 6000 (PF6000), Atlas Copco's cabled Tensor STR tools can now run the TensorPulse tightening strategy, in addition to the wireless Tensor SRB. By significantly reducing the reaction force absorbed by the operator, subsequent risks of fatigue and injuries are also reduced. Because of this boost in operator safety, you have the opportunity to lessen hardware on the line, as reaction devices may no longer be required.

Shorter tightening times, improved productivity

In addition to a safer operation for your operators, TensorPulse is also able to majorly boost productivity in the plant. Allowing for virtually reaction-free, fast, one-handed tightening on both soft and hard joints, TensorPulse is smart and flexible. Programming is a breeze, enabling you to input a variety of different parameters, including target torque, pulse energy, reaction force tuning factor, pulse count limits, and more.

 

Should the torque, angle, or time during tightening exceed the set, pre-programmed limit, TensorPulse stops the tightening immediately.
