Atlas Copco air motors provide specific benefits for the food industry

3 minute(s) to read

Atlas Copco has been manufacturing air motors for decades, and our air motors are recognized as the best in the world because of their quality and efficiency.

Air motors are used in a variety of industries, including pipe cutting, mixing, transportation, cleaning, and hydro blasting. Atlas Copco air motors are also specifically well suited for the food industry.

With a complete line of stainless steel air motors, Atlas Copco motors are ideal for the wet environments found in the food industry, where manufacturing plants must be regularly washed down. Not only are the outer housings of Atlas Copco air motors stainless steel, but on request, the internal motor cell of the air motor can also be made of stainless steel, guaranteeing minimal corrosion of components and maintenance requirements.

The stainless steel construction also makes them more resistant to other chemicals they may be exposed to.

Additional benefits of air motors

Atlas Copco air motors are also designed to be able to run effectively without lubrication. As the vanes in our air motors wear, they lubricate themselves, making them run efficiently even in environments like food production, where running lubrication into tools and motors is often not permitted.

This lubrication-free design also minimizes the maintenance costs generally associated with air motors.

As with all of our air motors, the stainless steel versions often used in the food manufacturing industry are designed to maximize their size and efficiency. Atlas Copco air motors are some of the smallest, most compact air motors available, and their size can be a critical advantage when attempting to install a motor into a small space or when trying to reduce the size of a machine.
