Atlas Copco joined the Bloodhound adventure as a sponsor in 2014, as the sole tools supplier we are playing an integral part in the manufacture & assembly of Bloodhound. We have provided the team with a wide range of tools ensuring they always have the right equipment for the job.

The hub nuts on Bloodhound are tightened to 800Nm. With such a critical component, the implications for the car would be catastrophic if this part was tightened to the wrong torque, that is why the Bloodhound engineers use the STWrench for the job.

When NASA launched the Apollo space program & landed man on the moon, the number of American students taking STEM based degrees at universities sky rocketed. The Bloodhound project is to be the UK's Apollo program, inspiring the next generation of engineers.
