Wine filtration is a crucial step in the winemaking process, ensuring the clarity, stability, and overall quality of the final product. As wine moves from fermentation to bottling, various filtration stages are employed to remove unwanted particles, yeast, and bacteria, enhancing the wine's appearance and taste while preserving its character.

Atlas Copco solutions in the winemaking process

Final Stabilization

Filters you can use during this stage are the SME and BME pleated membrane filter cartridges.

 

Pre-stabilization

During this stage we recommend you the use of pleated fiber filters PFP, PFP-A and PFG.

 

Tartaric Removal

Filters ideal for this stage are the pleated fiber PFP-D and PFP-B and the melt blown PBP and PBP-A.

 

Filtration of secondary fluids

Gas: You can use our pleated fiber PFG-G, PFP-G, SFG-G or the pleated membrane SMT-G.

Liquid: Available activated carbon filters ASC, ARC, melt blown filters PBP, PBP-L and pleated fiber filters like our PFP, PFP-L and PFG.

Vapor: Filters like our stainless steel cartridges MSS and MPSC.
