Atlas Copco Industrial Technique Distributor Summit 2024

The event took place on November 21-22, 2024, at the Chatrium Grand Hotel Bangkok and the Innovation Center of Atlas Copco Customer Center Southeast Asia. Our General Manager of Industrial Technique Southeast Asia and Oceania, Nitin Lall, gave the opening speech and shared his vision for the future of the partnership between Atlas Copco and its distributors. This was followed by a presentation on the Global Partnership Program 21 (GPP21) by Strahinja Cvijanovic, the Global Business Manager for Distributors, emphasizing the theme "Stronger Together."

A core focus of the event was sharing industry trends from different business lines. Mr. Teak Siang Koay (Motor Vehicle Industry), Mr. Pruetthipong Sangsiri (General Industry), and Mr. Pawan Chauhan and Mr. Xuan Vu (Service Industry) presented updates. This session highlighted key business developments and emphasized the importance of service in enhancing customer relationships through value-added services.

Later on, Mr. Kok Che Tham, presented on the Business Code of Conduct and Trade Compliance. Following with our Process Control and System Manager, Aimorn Maneekhao, presented on the "Smart Portal", a crucial tool in Atlas Copco's digital strategy, designed to promote digital enablement for both partners and customers. It offers a centralized touchpoint where users can access essential tools, information, and services, making it easier to collaborate and streamline processes in today’s fast-paced industrial landscape.

Following this, Jade Jirawiboon, Sales Leader for Motor Vehicle Industry, led a session on The Edge of Transformation in Industrial 5.0, exploring the evolution from Industry 1.0 to Industry 5.0. This transformation marks a shift from traditional mechanization to advanced automation, integration, and human-centric technologies. Jade discussed how Industry 5.0 brings together the power of automation, artificial intelligence, and human expertise to create more personalized and sustainable industrial solutions, setting the stage for the future of industrial operations.

Finally, Linlaphat Worawachchirachok, Regional Service Sales Manager, delved into Sustainability for the Future, focusing on how companies can adopt more eco-friendly and efficient practices. This topic is crucial for businesses striving to reduce their environmental impact while maintaining operational excellence and driving innovation.

Our Regional Product Manager, Mr. Pisid Passaranon and Wiwat Sutanan discussed Automation with Atlas Copco, followed by Joe Chong, Business Manager for General Industry, who led a session on digitalization and data-driven solutions, including insights on Alture. Marketing manager of General Industry, Suneerat Gongtoey, also covered the concept of Smart Integrated Assembly, aligning it with transformation approaches. Additionally, there were discussions on new products such as PF8, IxB, STRwrench, ToolsControl, and Avantguard, as well as products in the pipeline like XB, IPB-P, and WIRTT.

The second day promises to be equally engaging and insightful, offering hands-on experiences and strategic workshops for the industrial market.  Distributors had the opportunity to dive deeper into Atlas Copco’s innovative solutions and explore action plans for achieving sustainability within the industry. They were introduced with the topic of Smart Integrated Assembly for Sales activity by Richa Kristiani, Team Leader, and Kowit Baikunakorn, Sales Team Leader of Motor Vehicle Industry.There are three main stations:

Workshop Road to a Sustaiable Future - Tech Transformation

In this workshop, each distributor was grouped with an Atlas Copco expert to discuss their business plan for key accounts, identify challenges, and explore strategies for improvement. This hands-on approach enabled participants to tailor sustainability practices to their unique business needs and create actionable plans for growth in an increasingly eco-conscious market.

The workshop guided distributors in developing strategies to incorporate sustainability into their business models. Focusing on sustainable practices, the session provided the tools needed to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly solutions. Through group discussions and exercises, participants explored practical ways to drive sustainability across operations while learning how advancements in digitalization, automation, and smart tools could foster a more sustainable industrial environment.
