The quality compressed air to meet ISO 8573-1
Why is that?
To ensure the safety of consumers, in some exceptional for some industries such as forming, packaging or using for switch on-off valve systems. The quality of compressed air may not necessarily high as in the food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
The reasons to improve your quality of compressed air system is very important because the standards of air quality are shown in the table below to support your reliability and meet with ISO.
ISO 8573-1 is a quality standard for many factories which provides a range of class for solid particles (dust), moisture (water), oil, and vapour in compressed air.
For the class in ISO 8573-1, the smaller the numbers present the quality of compressed air. The quality of the compressed air according to the ISO 8573-1 standard is indicated in 3 digits (ISO 8573-1 Class X.X.X).
For example, ISO8573-1 Class 2.4.2.
- The first number is 2, which represents the class of "Solid particles" in compressed air
- The second number is 4, position number indicates the class of "water" in compressed air.
- The third number is 2, position number indicates the class of “oil” in compressed air.
Therefore ISO8573-1 Class 2.4.2 means, in compressed air can contain the following impurities: -
Solid particles:
- Up to 400,000 for particle sizes 0.1 - 0.5 μm, Maximum 6,000 for particle sizes.
- 0.5 - 1 μm and for particles size 1 - 5 μm up to 100 particles
Water: Maximum at 3 ° C PDP
Oil: 0.1 mg / m3 max.
