SpotPoint is a wireless Industrial Location Solution identifying individual joints wirelessly through stereo camera vision system. Passive location tags mounted to the tools are tracked by stereo cameras and system calculates position of tools with amazing accuracy.
System works on fixed stations typical for start stop assembly lines as well as on moving assembly line! There is no difference in performance and accuracy, system works briliant in both of the situations.
SpotPoint can operate in guiding mode forcing operator to follow specific sequence or it enables PSET selection depending on position. With ILS you are always sure about torque applied to specific joint. This improves data integrity and traceability as well provides clear information for rework.

Frequently Asked Questions about ILT
Where to use system?
ILS requires line of sight = camera must see the tool to identify position. If line of sight is interrupted a tool is temporarily locked until line of sight is renewed. On moving assembly line, there is used additional reference tag to track position of moving product.
Can I use ILS on moving assembly line?
Yes, technology has additional reference tags enabling tracking of position of moving products. Based on reference point position an ILS system recognizes next positions to enable a tool.
How ILS communicates with other systems?
ILS communicates with controllers via Open Protocol. Tool tags are passive so they do not require external power. Mounting a tag on the tool is all you need.
Can I use ILS with my existing assembly tools?
Do you want upgrade your existing tools with positioning system? ILS system requires a base station to be placed on your station and line of sight to be assured. Camera requires connection for power supply and network. On tool it is enoug mount ILS tag, tags are passive no electric power is required.
Are there any SW components?
ILS camera has also inbuld industrial computer where Atlas Copco ILG system is used.
What is the range of ILS solution?
Maximum distance from camera is up to 3 meters.
What is accuracy of the ILS system?
ILS position accuracy 1 mm Angular accuracy is 0,5 degrees
