Atlas Copco’s product line of Geared Front Attachments (GFA) consists of standard and custom output gear extensions that connect to tightening tools for applications with difficult access to joints. They provide high accuracy, productivity, and process stability.
By custom design for each application, as of today we have availalbe over 100,000 combinations of special tightening heads.

What is GFA COT?
GFA COT (Closed Offset Torque) with closed-ended crawfoot are dedicated for cramped areas and Hi-Lite applications paired with output gear models to install not only regular bolts and nuts, but also Hold and Drive, frangible collars, and socket screws. With an optimized design of the GFAs, we offer the best performance-to-size ratio, productivity and ergonomics.
What is GFA OOT?
GFA OOT (Open Offset Torque) are dedicated heads for tube-nut and cable-nut applications that come in many different sizes with a variable number of gear stages, maximum output torque and there are also counter-clockwise models for left-threaded connections. These can be combined with various output gear models to install tube-nuts, B-nuts or cable-nuts with hexagonal or double hexagonal profiles. The output gears can be installed upward or downward giving possibility to acces even the most cramped spaces.
