Basra, home to one of Iraq's largest and most strategic oil and gas fields, faces critical challenges in efficiently managing the gas produced during oil extraction and minimizing its environmental impact. This is where Atlas Copco Power Technique Iraq stepped in.
Atlas Copco Power Technique Iraq successfully delivered 12 units of XAVS 1000 portable large air compressors to this major oil and gas field in Basra. These compressors were seamlessly integrated into the air assist system of the degassing stations. Designed to meet the specific needs of the customer, these units stand out for their high performance and reliability.
Each XAVS 1000 unit has a capacity of 1000 cfm Free Air Delivery (FAD) and operates at a high pressure of 14 bar. These features provide an excellent solution to meet the total compressed air demand (up to 12000 cfm) of the degassing stations. The high volume of air delivery from the compressors ensures efficient and sufficient burning of the gas, significantly reducing the black smoke and environmental soot associated with oil extraction processes.
