What made you decide to upgrade your compressor?
In recent years, we have invested heavily in our machines and in technological development. In addition, our product range has become more diverse in recent years, with the number of variants systematically increasing, making automation more and more indispensable. We knew that it was time to update our very loud, power hungry and un-reliable compressor.

What motivated you to choose Atlas Copco as your supplier?
We began looking around for partners that could help us and it was difficult to find partners that were able to support such a complex use case, but our search eventually led us to Atlas Copco. What encouraged you to go with the Atlas Copco GA18VSD+FF?
An important aspect, apart from the technical qualities of the compressor, is also the built-in area and the noise level it emits during operation. The ideal solution in this case is the use of a variable displacement compressor (controlled by a variable engine speed), equipped with an integrated refrigerant dryer GA18VSD + FF. The modern and unprecedented on the market design in the vertical arrangement means that the device takes up half as much space as our previously used compressors of the same power.

Gerard required a specific air quality for their printing machines onsite, so I was happy to put together a complete compressor package including filtration and installation. We opted for the Variable Speed Drive compressor due to the varied air demand onsite and because of the 30-50% savings in energy costs for the site by using VSD+ technology.
