Atlas Copco Egypt celebrating the Swedish National Day in Cairo
Cairo, 6th June 2023 – The Embassy of Sweden in Cairo and the Swedish Business Community celebrated Sweden Day under the Theme “Sweden 500" highlighted the historical relations between Sweden and Egypt, where historical and trade relations go together.
This year's celebrations have taken on a special significance as Sweden commemorates its 500th anniversary as an independent kingdom.The event was attended by Egyptian officials, the diplomatic community, politicians, civil society and Sweden’s friends and partners in Egypt.
The celebration featured an exhibition by 20 of the Swedish Companies operating in Egypt where they showcased their innovative products and services. Guests had the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, learn about Sweden's expertise in various sectors, and explore potential collaborations. This exhibition highlights the significant contributions made by Swedish businesses to Egypt's economic progress, fostering a stronger partnership between the two nations.
It is worth mentioning that swedish companies have made substantial investments across a wide range of sectors, including renewable energy, telecommunications and the broader ICT sector, manufacturing, retail, and infrastructure. these investments have not only contributed to the creation of new jobs but also to the transfer of technology and knowledge as well as increased Egyptian exports to the world markets.”
