Mostafa Ayad - Atlas Copco Workplace Ambassador
Mostafa Ayad history in Atlas Copco Egypt
• I was referred by a friend, Toaa Gindia, for the position of Receivables Accountant under the Finance Hub.
• It all started with a phone interview, then a technical interview and finally an HR interview. After passing the hiring process I was offered the job in May 2019 and the 23rd of June 2019 was my starting date.
• After 6 months in my position, my managers believed that I was excelling in my position and recommended me to take on new challenges as a Payables Accountant.
• In February 2020, I started in the new position. I was handed bigger responsibilities and more opportunities to learn.
- I like the cooperation amongst teams within the company. Cooperation is one of the values inside Atlas Copco which helps me as an individual to learn and gain more knowledge and helps me as an employee to be more productive.
- I love the Team mentality inside Atlas Copco. The focus and the stress inside the company encourages the “WE” instead of the “I”.
- Atlas Copco is a huge brand, the learning potential is massive. I have learned and developed my skills significantly in my first year in Atlas Copco
- On a business level, I was handed-over my new tasks in my new position just before the quarantine. It was a challenge for me to complete my tasks from home without physical guidance. I was still receiving a lot of virtual guidance from my colleagues, to whom I am greatly thankful. Looking back at it today, I think I overcame these obstacles and managed to pull through. This was a confidence booster and I am very pleased with the results.
- On a personal level, the quarantine life allowed me to spend more time with my family which I believe is priceless.
- I expect to continue proving myself in this new position and advance even further in my career. Also, I'm looking forward to going back to our normal lives. 😊
- I believe we all learned that our actions affect other people and the consequences of our actions are not only limited to us. Everyone around us is affected by the choices we make.
We all have to enjoy our lives no matter how many hardships we face, do not take anything for granted, no matter how small it could be and appreciate the small stuff. 😊
