Your Role

At Atlas Copco, we believe that passion drives success. We are looking for a Development Design Engineer who is enthusiastic about designing and developing components and systems for our compressors. If you are a Mechanical Engineer with a keen interest in design work using CAD software, we want to hear from you. As part of the Research and Development team, you will report to the Development Team Leader and work closely with our Core Engineering and System Engineering teams. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY. Join our team and contribute to innovative projects that make a difference.

As a Development Design Engineer, you will:

• Detail, design, and develop components and systems for Atlas Copco centrifugal compressors utilizing CAD software. 
• Perform engineering calculations related to the design of compressors and sub-components. 
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, marketing, and service. 
• Collaborate with the Development Team Leader and other team members.
• Ensure designs meet quality and performance standards
• Maintain accurate and organized design records. 
• Participate in design review meetings.
• Participate in project planning including schedule, budgets, and execution.

 
To succeed, you will need  

• A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 
• At least 2 years of experience in CAD software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
