Atlas Copco Rental Italy announces collaboration with chemical company IGM Resins

Successful first rental project in Italy with air screw compressor PTS 800 results in satisfied customer.
IGM Resins, a Dutch multinational, is market leader for UV irradiation curing and polymerization products (photoinitiators). The IGM portfolio of photoinitiators (resins and additives) supplies a variety of industry sectors around the world: from graphic arts, industrial coatings, adhesives and food packaging industry to automotive, electronics, fiber optics and emerging technologies such as printing. In September 2016, IGM acquired BASF’s photoinitiator business, including the production site in Mortara, near Pavia.
IGM Resins Italy has contacted Atlas Copco Rental for a project at the production plant in Mortara: during the rebuilding of the compressor room, the customer needed to rent equipment to back-up the existing machines.
Italian Sales Area Manager Nicola Di Savino proposed the rental of the 100% Oil-free air screw compressor PTS 800. It became the first rental project in Italy with this equipment.
The rental project started in July 2017 for 10 days and included following equipment:
- CD dryer 24 m3
- Air tank
- Fuel tank with Adblue®
- Hoses
Apart from a reliable machine solution, the customer was also looking for a 24/7 availability by phone of the Atlas Copco Rental team in Italy during the project. The Italian service team met with these demands and was always ready to answer any questions from the customer. Both companies are satisfied with this collaboration and are looking forward to maintain this relationship for new projects.
