MicroTorque (MT) tools, combined with a state-of-the-art controller, deliver advanced tightening solutions for any low-torque application. Designed to meet the high standards of the modern electronics industry, these tools ensure precision and accuracy for every fastener—boosting both production efficiency and quality.
What sets MicroTorque apart is its innovative tightening strategy, which focuses on actual clamp torque rather than the traditional torque and angle method. This approach excels in environments with inconsistent production materials, ensuring consistent clamp force. The result? Enhanced product quality, increased productivity, and reduced production costs.

ETD MicroTorque tool: Precision meets efficiency
The ETD MT tool is a cutting-edge transducerized device that enhances the MTF 6000 system, offering unmatched accuracy compared to traditional tools. Key features of the ETD MT tool include:
Ergonomic design: Lightweight aluminum construction and a redesigned shape ensure comfort for operators, whether they have small or large hands, making long shifts more manageable.
Integrated vacuum: By eliminating the need for an exterior vacuum hose, the ETD MT is easier to handle, allowing for more streamlined operation.
LED feedback: Visual indicators—white for fastener pickup, green for correct actions, red for errors, and blue for process completion—simplify workflow and minimize errors.
Multi-function switch: Programmable for various tasks like activating the vacuum, turning on the LED, or reversing the tool, offering more flexibility and customization for different operations.
The tool’s transducer technology is its key advantage, delivering improved accuracy and precise torque measurement at the point of installation. The transducer measures real-time tightening data that is instantly sent to the controller, continuously ensuring accuracy.

QA Station MicroTorque: On-the-line tool verification made easy
The portable QA Station MT revolutionizes tool verification by enabling checks directly on the production line—saving time and minimizing downtime.
This compact station, powered by a 36-volt battery featuring an MTF 6000 controller, slots for a stationary transducer, and soft or hard joint. The station operates in three verification modes:
Standalone mode: Ideal for non-smart tools, storing critical data such as torque vs. time graphs and serial numbers of tools and transducers used during verification.
Barcode scan mode: Automatically inputs data like model and serial numbers via tool barcodes generated by the Tools Talk MT, simplifying verification.
USB sync mode: Provides the most detailed data, syncing with the MTF 6000 controller and capturing comprehensive verification, torque trace, and rundown information.
Verification results can be exported as a CSV file or viewed in real-time (USB sync mode only) using Tools Talk MT.

Digital IO: Seamless integration with smart production systems
The MTF 6000's Digital IO capability allows seamless communication with external devices like PLCs, robots, sensors, and smart jigs. By sending on/off signals through a 24V DC system, it supports up to 12 inputs and 8 outputs, automating tasks such as tool initialization, operation feedback, and process control.
In PLC setups, the MTF 6000 efficiently manages tasks like batch sequencing and start tightening, provides feedback, and often does it more time-efficiently than traditional PLCs. For instance, in a system with a barcode scanner and smart jig, the MTF 6000 guides operators through each step. It verifies actions using lights and sensors, locks/unlocks fixtures based on fastener installation, and ensures the process is completed correctly before moving to the next step.
