Reducing environmental impact and cost through energy efficient products and solutions

In order to minimize the environmental footprint of our business and the impact from our products, we need to target environmental aspects in the early stages of product development. We do this through our Eco design concept. This way we can support our customers by reducing environmental impact and cost through energy efficient products and solutions.

Eco design and consideration of environmental aspects in product development is nothing new to us. Atlas Copco has a history of developing modular tools with respect for materials and natural resources used in our products. We strive to maximize the functionality of the product while optimizing the energy consumption to ensure minimized environmental impact.

How we approach sustainability

“A key initiative in our sustainability plan is our Eco design concept, aimed at setting relevant environmental targets in each product development project. We also highlight Eco design achievements to our customers to raise environmental awareness and add value.”

In our own operations and those of our customers, we do everything possible to ensure reliable, lasting results with responsible use of resources – human, natural and capital. A key aim is to minimize the impact of our products and production on the environment.
