ArcelorMittal Asturias is made up of two factories, Avilés and Gijón, close to the ports of both towns, which ensures an efficient reception of raw materials and optimal dispatch of their products. It is the only comprehensive steel plant in Spain; that is, it produces steel from iron ore.
