End of year message from Ariel Rubinstein, General Manager of Atlas Copco Compressors UK & Ireland

With the festive season around the corner, we want to extend our warmest wishes to you and your families. It’s a time for joy, reflection, and celebrating our shared commitment to sustainability, safety, and the progress we’ve made with our ‘Green Journey’ initiatives.

We have successfully reduced CO₂ emissions at our new Head Office, Technology House, marking a significant step forward in our sustainability efforts. Across Atlas Copco UK, we continue to upgrade our facilities, including our offices in northern England and Scotland.

We’re also making progress toward our Science-Based Targets, with a strong focus on transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles. Additionally, we’re exploring ways to support employees in gaining access to EVs as part of our commitment to a greener future.

The Green Team, a volunteer group within our UK & Ireland Compressors business, has created a range of activities and policies to help reduce Atlas Copco UK’s carbon footprint. These initiatives are designed to deliver lasting, tangible benefits that seamlessly integrate into daily work routines. In March, we launched the strategy with a virtual event for all employees, where many made personal pledges to reduce their climate impact.

Starting October 1st, we pledged to plant a tree for every NPS survey completed by our customers. This initiative supports reforestation and helps combat climate change.

Each tree plays a vital role in capturing and storing CO₂, aiding the regeneration of healthy forests, restoring wildlife habitats, purifying water, replenishing soil, and controlling flooding. Since October, we’ve planted over 300 trees, capable of capturing more than 450 tons of CO_2. 

In 2024 we launched some brand-new, cutting-edge products which can increase our customers’ productivity and/or reduce costs, including:
