CF Fertilisers discovers the oil-free PTS 800

A specific Rental solution for a specific air flow Billingham, Cleveland: nitrogen fertiliser manufacturer CF Fertilisers needed a back-up/additional air provider for both their Ammonia and Nitrates plants and swiftly turned to Atlas Copco Rental. Given their earlier rental of an oil-free diesel driven compressor, they knew to expect a full solution, fitted to their needs.
CF Fertilisers produce various types of fertilisers for different kinds of crops in British farming and industry. They manufacture these products in Billingham Cleveland, where they required an air provider for back-up and additional air recently, while their own compressor was out for service.
Because of their previous rental with Atlas Copco Rental and our positive relationship since then, we were called to provide them with a custom made solution.
The previously rented PTS 1600, a 100% oil-free diesel driven compressor, proved a wrong match for this particular application as a lot of air would need to be vented off. The acquired flow rate was around 500 CFM this time, so the smaller sized PTS 800 came out as a perfect fit.
The equipment was delivered on-site and placed into position, after which our service and sales engineers ran through the key features of the PTS 800 with the customer. Added accessories such as a fuel tank, an AdBlue tank, hoses and a silencer were also provided.
The rental solution ran smoothly, resulting in a fast and efficient project, leaving the customer satisfied.
I required a hired compressor while a service was carried out on our plant installed compressor. I phoned Atlas Copco Rental to discuss our options to make the right decision together. The compressor was delivered and the engineer went through step by step how to use it. The PTS 800 ran very well and performed exactly how we needed it to with no problems.
