Tool Location and Positioning Systems

With the ILT, the wireless tool location solution by Atlas Copco, your battery tools will only operate in the correct area. Using wireless distance measurement technology, it tethers the tool to a specific workstation and disables the tool if it goes outside the set working range. It also uses gyroscope to improve accuracy of bolt identification.

ILG is universal error-proofing solution enabling tracking of tool position via sensors. It provides functionality with different types of sensors - radial, linear, axial and it can be adapted to different reaction arms. ILG guarantees your operators follow the assembly sequence, they do not forget any screw and each tightening is linked with exact joint. With ILG you also never tighten a screw with incorrect tightening strategy.

ILS is the newest addition to Atlas Copco’s Industrial Location portfolio. It’s a vision system enabling bolt-level accuracy. It is great benefit for wireless tools. ILS consists of stationary stereo camera system and passive tags mounted on the tools. Camera triangulates the position of a tool and identifies location.
