Located in Sanand, Gujarat, Oppermann Webbing India Private Limited is part of the German-based Oppermann Group which was established in 1848. Sandesh Shirke, General Manger, Oppermann Webbing explains, "Oppermannn Group is a 175-year-old German company that is into the manufacturing of webbings. Webbings are narrow-weft fabrics that are used for different applications.”
For the automotive and aerospace industries, the company supplies webbings for seat belts. They make parachute webbings for the military and industrial webbings for lifting belts, load-securing belts, slings, as well as harnesses for protective equipment. The Oppermann Webbing India plant is based in Sanand and given their demanding requirements, selection of a supplier involves a high degree of scrutiny.
