On February 21, 1873, Atlas was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, as a manufacturer of products for railways.
Over 140 years later the company is an industry benchmark with world-leading positions in compressors, tools and rock drills, but also in many other product areas. Close cooperation with our customers, a constant drive to find a better way and commitment to keeping our promises have made Atlas Copco what it is today.
Atlas Copco Ireland History
Atlas Copco began its international expansion at the beginning of the 20th century.
In 1965 the Ireland company was established. In 2015, Atlas Copco celebrated 50 years of operation in Ireland which was marked with a full programme of staff and customer events throughout the year. Today Atlas Copco Ireland companies employ over 50 employees across all Business Areas. In 2018, Atlas Copco Ireland moved to a new state-of-the-art headquarters in Damastown Industrial Park in Dublin 15.
