  2. Interior seam sealing

  3. Sound dampening

Mini flat stream: A low-pressure application with high precision and accurate material distribution. Ideal for hem flange sealing on doors, it ensures a smooth surface and excellent aesthetic appearance.

 

 

Jet stream: Suitable for aesthetically demanding seam sealing areas like trunk lids, roof ditches, and rear lights. It supports high robot speeds and ensures a high-quality finish. The tool’s symmetry simplifies robot programming for complex geometries.

 

 

Extrusion: A low-pressure application requiring a short application distance. Special U-shaped nozzles apply beads at trim edges to prevent corrosion, used in high-stress areas like wheel arches. Accessibility is a major challenge, as areas must be reached through window openings while maintaining high robot speeds to keep cycle times low. Atlas Copco’s SCA product line offers flexible and reliable sealing solutions.

Flat stream application: Ideal for interior seam sealing, it processes PVC with high flow rates and low cycle times. The even material distribution ensures high quality and minimal rework. Customizable with various nozzles for flexibility.

Sound dampening in paint shop

 

Challenges in sound dampening:

Multi-orifice application (MOG): MOG is effective for water-based acrylic LASD, applying multiple parallel beads within 75 mm or 150 mm widths. It processes high volumes quickly, with a special bead pattern providing a larger application surface.

Underbody applications

 

Challenges in underbody applications:

 

Protection against stone chipping and corrosion is crucial, especially in high-stress areas like wheelhouses and rocker panels. PVC is commonly used for sealing seams and forming protective coats. Atlas Copco’s SCA product line ensures high application quality, handles high flow rates, and supports fast robot speeds.

 

 

Our application solutions:

 

Flat stream for underbody seam sealing: Flat stream protects trim edges against corrosion with moderate pressure and accurate material distribution, allowing high flow rates and low cycle times. It can be adapted to various requirements.

 

 

Airless underbody spraying: Airless spraying offers high-pressure protection against humidity and stone chipping, allowing flexible coat thickness, application distance, and speed.

 

 

Wide flat stream for underbody coating: Wide flat stream uses customized nozzles for up to 150 mm application width, ensuring repeatable quality with no overspray, preventing contamination and improving appearance.

 

 

Rocker panel/anti-chip application: Rocker panels require careful corrosion protection and high aesthetic standards. PVC coats can be applied with flat stream or airless spraying, using special masking tools for sharp contours.
