Mastering sewer bypass with the right equipment

Sewer bypass is one of the most common applications when it comes down to dewatering jobs, taking up around 40% of the flow business market. But don’t be fooled! While it may seem like a simple application, setting up and maintaining the pumps is surprisingly complex and requires a high level of expertise. Sewer bypass includes the transfer of hazardous fluids, water level management, tank cleaning, the repair of existing pipelines, and the transfer of water during a plant expansion project.

Within our portfolio, our PAS 150 and PAS 300 vacuum-assisted self-priming pumps are among others especially designed to answer the complex needs of sewer bypass applications. They can deliver high flow rates up to 2250 m3/h and handle solids up to 100mm. They are also equipped with silent canopies and Stage V diesel engines featuring AdBlue technology for a quieter and cleaner operation.

Dewatering in the oil & gas industry: keeping your pipelines flowing

Next up, is the oil and gas industry. Within this industry, dewatering also plays a crucial role in several applications, including hydrostatic testing of pipelines (both onshore and offshore), oil well fracking, and ballasting. These processes all require equipment that can handle the unique demands of this environment. Specifically, high-head and high-flow capabilities are essential, often needing the use of booster pumps to achieve the necessary pressure for these high-pressure pipelines.

The PAC 108 is a good example of our high-head pumps that are suitable for these types of applications. They deliver a flow up to 1470 m3/h and total head up to 100 m, have a stage V engine, and can transfer liquids over long distances or elevations.

Your temporary firefighting needs are covered by our Total Solutions

Ensuring a consistent water supply is crucial for firefighting, especially during maintenance periods and as a temporary backup when the existing firefighting system is insufficient.

Our PAC H43 and PAC H64 high-head pumps are your temporary solution specially designed to provide high head (pressure) and high flow (volume) capabilities, ensuring effective water delivery for firefighting purposes. They also adhere to the duty point norm, a standard that specifies the minimum performance requirements for firefighting equipment.

The right pump for your wellpoint dewatering needs

Wellpoint dewatering is used in various construction scenarios beyond simple foundation work. It is used for tunneling projects, soil remediation efforts, water transfer operations, and even compaction activities.

Selecting the right pump is crucial for wellpoint dewatering systems. These pumps need to handle a mix of water, and air, – often in high volumes. Additionally, the pumps used for dewatering applications should be efficient and come in various power options to suit project needs.

Atlas Copco Rental offers a range of pumps suitable for your wellpoint dewatering applications, including:

  • E-pas Pump: This electric pump boasts an impressive flow rate of up to 510 m3/h, a vacuum pump capacity of 75 m3/h, and can handle solids up to 76 millimeters in size. It also features an energy-saving variable speed drive and a stackable design for flexible use on-site.
  • PAS 150MF pumps: These Stage V compliant, diesel-driven pumps also deliver a flow rate of up to 510 m3/h and can handle 76 mm solids.
