The world's first battery operated screw compressor
Meet your new silent partner: the B-Air 185-12. The world's first mobile screw compressor powered on a battery. This innovative solution is aimed to transform the industry.
Being a portable air compressor, it is designed with autonomy as a priority, that keeps running for at least one full working shift in typical conditions and applications. The added advantage is the total flexibility that makes it easier to use the B-Air machine wherever you can imagine.
This unit has no local emissions. It is compact, energy-efficient and quiet. This makes it perfect for any tough application that needs to be done in a sustainable way.

Reliable and robust
The first mobile battery driven screw compressor is engineered with Atlas Copco's forward-thinking philosophy.
It is a sustainable game-changer for the environment. Additionally, its reliability and design make it ideal for demanding applications.
The mobile B-Air compressor is designed for toughness and gets maximum performance out of its battery. The battery pack is contained in a triple enclosure, which gives the highest protection, and is liquid cooled.
Easy to operate
B-Air 185-12 compressor is equipped with PACE, an electronic pressure control system that adjusts its output depending on the requirements.
In order to adjust the pressure, controller is used to find the perfect combination with only a few clicks.
This allows operators to select a pressure in increments of 0.1 bar / 2 psi, making it easy to accommodate different applications with one compressor.
Variable speed drive technology
The core of our battery powered air compressor is a variable speed drive, permanent magnet motor, which has exceptional energy efficiency and is very quiet. This motor is a unique Atlas Copco design that was made to withstand the outdoor applications. It is completely sealed from water and dust to comply with IP 66.
This combination of the permanent magnet motor and variable speed drive produces a mobile compressor that is 50% more energy efficient than a fixed speed compressor in partial or unloaded conditions, which is the majority of its working life.
