Compressed air powering in bakery industry

Established in 1975, Modern Bakery is one of the leading bakeries based in the United Arab Emirates with more than 1,500 employees. Modern Bakery purchased the first 2 units of GA 37 (37 kW compressor package) in 1996, where the compressed air is used as plant air in feeding the pneumatic system in the production line. The company later added another 3 units of GA 75 (75 kW compressor packages) while expanding the production line during the period of 2014 to 2019.

In the compressor business, Atlas Copco monitors customer installations from remote through a system called SMARTLINK.

SMARTLINK monitoring system

The GA compressors are installed with state-of-the-art compressor element in smart design, reducing power consumption by 3-8%. Furthermore, the compression element is coupled with a maintenance-free gearbox and the motor and drive train are greased for life. The GA range also features a high-tech Elektronikon® Touch controller with high-definition color display, easy to use and built to perform in the toughest conditions. On top of that, the standard SMARTLINK remote monitoring system integrated in the compressor can monitor the value of energy at any time anywhere via the SMARTLINK website. These monitoring and display solutions allow the creation of reports, essential for ISO auditing requirements, as well as for internal management and performance systems.
