Junior SAP Basis Admin

• Ensure performant and stable operation of the SAP environment VTBA, label printing and scanner pistols
• Being contact for our hosting partners
• Support SAP related projects and ensure the realization of the SAP Basis part of those projects
• Support & Management of the transport system
• Be responsible for ensuring SAP basic operations through performance and tuning measures for our SAP systems.
• Be involved in the extension of our SAP systems and the implementation of new functions
• Comply with legal and internal IT regulations
• Manage and Support Barcode printing, labels and barcode scanners. 
• Develop and administrate the sap forms, labels, and barcode software
• Perform regular on-call duty.

 Operations:

Form development:

• Creation and customization of forms in SAP Script, Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
• Knowledge in the design of labels, invoices, order confirmations, etc.
• Adapt for different type of logos

Barcode integration:

• Configuration and integration of barcodes in forms.
• Understanding of different barcode types (e.g. QR code, EAN-13, Code 128).

Interface management:

• Collaboration with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Ensuring smooth data transfer between forms and backend processes.

User-friendliness:

• Ensuring that the forms created are user-friendly.
• Integrating interactive elements such as buttons and input fields.

Barcode scanner support:

• Configuration, management, maintenance and troubleshooting of barcode scanners.
• Training users on how to use the scanners.

Barcode scanner programming:

• Knowledge of the configuration and programming of barcode scanners.
• Understanding of different barcode types such as 1D barcodes and 2D barcodes (e.g. QR codes, Data matrix).

Software tools and instructions:

• Experience with tools such as Zebra's 123Scan, which facilitates the configuration and programming of Zebra scanners1.
• Use of instructions and manuals for programming specific scanner models2.

Interface integration:

• Working with other systems (e.g. SAP) to seamlessly integrate barcode scanners.
• Ensuring that scanners communicate correctly with backend processes.

Troubleshooting and maintenance:

• Diagnose and resolve issues with barcode scanners.
• Regular maintenance and updating of scanner software.

Transport Management:

• Moving Transports/Resolving Transport issues within productive environements.
• Regular integration of transports.

System Diagnostics

• Ticket Resolution for Service Now request
• Creating new printers/Configuration of Printing processes
• Resolution of Application Team issues

Documentation:

• Documentation of configuration settings and programming.
• Maintenance of instructions for future reference.
• Documentation of the forms and interfaces created.
• Maintenance of instructions and manuals.

Communication and training:

• Training users on how to use the scanners.
• Communication with the IT team and other departments.
• Work together with the business to develop new print out solutions
• Be part of the acquisition process and ensure that newly integrated companies can run their processes by using SAP

• Perform SAP patch and kernel management.
• Ensue the stable operation of our SAP landscape based on DB2 and Linux/Unix (ERP, EWM, APO, CRM, BW, GTS, BI, SCM, PI, HR, Solution Manager).
• Support of AIX, SAP HANA and Suse Linux environments.
• Provision of new functions through the implementation of SAP upgrades as well as the import of enhancement packages (EhPs) and patches.
• Administration of the SAP environment including performance analysis and documentation.
• Analysis and elimination of faults in the area of 2nd level support.
• Development and implementation of security concepts.
• Software updates in the areas of operating systems AIX and Oracle.
• Recording, scheduling and assigning user questions and problems.
• Collaboration in the SAP4/HANA and Digitalization projects.
• Solving monitor alerts as a member of the on-call team outside of regular IT working hours.
• Planning, execution and documentation of SAP system copies.

Project Management and Technical Assistance

• Attend projects and realize new features
• Collaborate with project managers and business users and assist in adapting SAP environment
• Participate in data quality efforts and in architecture design
• Update on weekly base the progress report for VTBA infrastructure projects
• Define with the project lead how to measure project progress
• Attend project meetings and ensure that project progress is noted and reported
